DPSST Armed Certification Training (RR/2026)

9:00AM to 4:00PM.

COURSE SUMMARY:

This course is designed to exceed the requirements set forth by the state of Oregon in order to ensure a consistent level of professionalism, proficiency, and training in the licensing of private security, and private investigating professionals.

• Required Legal Responsibilities,

• Report Writing,

• Patrolling,

• Emergency Response Procedures, 

• Introduction to Criminal and Civil Law,

• Real World Experienced Security Providers to Share Experiences and Knowledge,

• Course review and examination.

PRE-REQUISITES:

Due to the nature of this training and state requirements unarmed applicants need to be 18 years of age and 21 years of age for armed applicants. Come with a desire to learn. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or who have been convicted of domestic violence need not apply. Applicants should review the states requirements, and contact DPSST with any questions concerning background checks.
